Glenn Cranham
Glenn has a wide range of interest in all areas of fitness, including Thai-boxing and other forms of martial arts. Currently he is studying sports rehabilitation at Middlesex University and undertaking work experience at the Drummond Clinic.
How did you get into the fitness industry?
After competing in various sports at both county and national level, up until my late teens, I stopped and pursued a lucrative career in the city. Later, I rekindled my love for Thai-boxing and exercise, deciding eventually to quit the fast life and dedicate my life to the fitness industry.
What are your main areas of interest in fitness?
I do love doing Martial arts with my PT clients, but I take an interest in all areas of sport and fitness. There’s just so much to learn and I always seem to be on a course – help!
What’s your personal mission statement?
I believe that exercise should be balanced with your life, to strive towards achievable goals for sustainable fitness!
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you like stranded with you?
- The SAS survival manual (Lofty Wise man) – it tells you all you need to know to survive and some interesting thing to pass the time.
- The Complete Works of Shakespeare – not because I’m trying to be intellectual, but because I’ve promised myself I’ll read it, and hey I’ll have the time!
- A wind-up iPod with all my favourite tunes.
Any hidden talents?
I used to sing and dance, and ended up in a West End musical!
