WHAT IS THE COURSE ABOUT?

This course aims to give delegates a thorough understanding of exercise physiology and programming. The aim of this module is to cover the following areas in both theory and practice:

  • Aerobic and anaerobic fitness
  • Training effects produced by aerobic training
  • Muscle function, fibre types and training effects
  • Energy production and programming
  • Exercise prescription in general and specifically for fat loss

HOW IS IT ASSESSED?

Direct observation of two different training systems and stretches.
12-week periodised programme.

All course materials will be provided. If you have any of the following, please bring them with you:

  • Heart rate monitor
  • Skinfolds
  • Tape measure
  • Blood pressure monitor
