What is the course about?

Arming you with all the skills and knowledge you need to teach in the exciting and challenging fitness industry.

· The course runs over 5 or 6 days (depending on your chosen LMI programme)

Who is the course suitable for?

Anyone who wants to teach one of the Les Mills programmes (Excluding RPM): BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyAttack, BodyBalance, BodyJam, BodyVive, BodyStep - There has never been a better time to train.

What Qualifications are needed?

No prerequisite however, you should make contact with a local Les Mills licensed club that may be prepared to support you in your training and offer you work after completion of the course.

To purchase LMI music and DVD’s you will need a valid PPL music licence (contact FitPro for further information).

What will be studied?

· Understand anatomy and physiology and apply this knowledge practically

· Working with music

· Designing your own freestyle classes to get the maximum benefits for your participants

· Understanding the principles of choreography

· Teaching the Les Mills Programme of your choice

· Role model correct technique

· Coaching effectively and safely whilst motivating your participants

· Connecting with your participants and teach to their needs

· Creating Fitness magic so your participants will come back again and again!

How Is It Assessed?

You will receive on-going assessment whilst on the course. After successful completion on the course you will be asked to prepare for your final assessment which will consist of a video and/or live assessment. This will take place within 12 weeks of the completion of the course.

Are there any books or special equipment that the student needs to purchase?

All course material will be provided.

Access to a video camera for practical assessment preferable.

What is the cost?

£745 (including assessment fee)

What can the qualification lead to?

Work as a LMI or freestyle group exercise instructor or a step towards becoming a personal trainer.
